Description
Most of the time we think of large machines, electrical tools and other equipment as being the most dangerous things in the workplace. Without proper training and use, these things can be very dangerous to employees. Unfortunately, we often overlook the smaller things at work which can be very harmful and cause major health issues. The repetitive nature of the office worker's keyboarding, the manufacturing employee's constant twisting to move items from a conveyor belt to a table and the employee who spends all day with their arms and hands raised above their head to stock shelves are all at high risk of suffering from a musculoskeletal disorder or MSD.
Ergonomics is the process of designing work areas to be user friendly, by using tools and equipment to reduce strain and/or repetitive motions and teaching employees proper work methods, correct posture and safe lifting techniques. This safety training program will discuss those work-related factors that may pose a risk of musculoskeletal disorders and recommendations to alleviate them.
This training program on “Office Ergonomics” encourages employees to have a positive attitude about safety as well as provides introductory safety training on some of the most common workplace safety issues.
